2025 Men's Soccer Tryout Information

Any athlete wishing to tryout for a varsity team at Western must complete the following steps prior to being eligible to start the tryout process:
Step 1: Connect with the Head coach by email and give them your full name and email

  • First year athletes include information about yourself ie. Position played, # of year's experience, team last played for etc. 
Step 2: Complete Medical Requirements - Medical Information

To be eligible for Intercollegiate Sports, individuals must have a minimum of 3 full or equivalent courses. Graduate and transfer students, with some exceptions, are eligible for most sports. Students should check with the coach of their sport for specific requirements related to eligibility

On Field Open Tryout will take place on Monday, September 1 from 6:45pm on Alumni Stadium. There will be a $20 Trial Fee.
After the first session, you may be invited for additional sessions, depending on your performance. We will send you more details by email.
Medical Requirements: You will require medical clearance from a physician before attending trial.
  • Complete the 2025-26 first year athlete medical form - First Year Athlete PPE Form 
  • You will need to download and have a physician complete the Medical Finding Form.
  • Once the medical finding form is completed by a physician, please send a copy of the completed document to : fksmc.varsity@uwo.ca
  • Once completed all forms are reviewed by the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine team. This process takes a few days thus the requirement to have the forms completed 1 week prior to your teams start date.
  • In the email subject, please include: PPE Full Name and Sport
    • Example: PPE Lindsay Ensing- Womens Basketball
  • You will also need to attend a Medical Intake Appointment on TBD in the Alumni Hall varsity training room.
